I used to stress out about having good credit and not being in debt so much I would lose sleep over it.

I remember complaining to my mom whenever she wanted to put the cable bill under my name and for the longest time I thought I would be entering the adult world in financial ruin thanks to my parents.

Your good credit journey can start whenever you want.

I am not here to promise you quick ways to boost your credit score right now like some of those clicky ads online do.

I want to encourage people my age to not feel so horrified by their credit choices thus far.

1. A Credit Line Increase Is a Good Thing

This used to scare me because I didn’t know what it meant. I thought it was just more potential money to spend that would get me in trouble credit-wise later.

This isn’t true, you want the highest credit line possible based on your income because that means you can have more money spent on your card and still remain under 30% utilization.

2. Helping Others Could Help You

This one is something I wish my mom would have done for me when I was younger.
